Ingredients

  •
    400 g New potatoes
  • Garlic cloves - Ingredients - COOKMAISON6 Garlic clove
  • Smoked Paprika - Ingredients - COOKMAISON2 tsp Paprika
  •
    1 tsp Turmeric
  • Thyme - Ingredient - Cookmaison2 tsp Thyme
  • Olive Oil - Ingredient - CookmaisonOlive oil
  • Salt - Ingredient - COOKMAISONSalt
  • Black Pepper - Ingredient - COOKMAISONBlack pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180 °C (356 °F)
  • Separate the garlic cloves but leave the skins on. This protects the garlic during roasting, allowing it to become sweet and soft inside without burning.
  • Place the potatoes and garlic cloves in a roasting tin or ovenproof dish large enough to hold them in a single layer.
  • Drizzle with the olive oil, then sprinkle over the paprika, turmeric, thyme, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Toss everything together until all the potatoes are evenly coated in the oil and spices.
  • Spread the potatoes out in a single layer. Place the dish in the preheated oven and roast for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden, crisp on the outside, and tender when pierced with a knife. Give them a shake or turn them halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. The roasted garlic cloves can be squeezed out of their skins onto the potatoes – the soft, sweet garlic flesh is delicious spread on the potatoes or eaten alongside them.

Notes

Don’t hesitate to adjust the quantities of herbs and spices to your taste.
