Ingredients
 

  • Asparagus - Ingredient - COOKMAISON440 g Asparagus prefer extra fine
  •  
    250 g Bacon lardons or pancetta
  • emmental grated80 g Emmental cheese (grated)
  • Creme fraiche - Ingredient - Cookmaison600 ml Creme fraiche
  • Nutmeg ground ingNutmeg (ground)
  • Black Pepper - Ingredient - COOKMAISONBlack pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C
  • Slightly pan-fry the lardons but do not brown them.
  • Arrange the fresh asparagus in the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Make sure the dish is large enough so the asparagus isn’t in a thick layer.
  • In a bowl, combine the creme fraiche with the lardons and half of the emmental. Season with pepper and nutmeg to taste.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the asparagus.
  • Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top in a thin, even layer.
  • Bake at 180°C for around 25 minutes, until the cheese forms a golden, appetizing crust.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving, allowing the cheese to set into a delightful, crispy texture.
